This piece holds a particular meaning for me: - that knitting is the tranquilliser pill that brings me stability. When I catch myself trying to appear to be more than I am through over decorativeness, I find simple items attract me enormously. Parcel string made from paper looses its strength in damp conditions, but as it dries it becomes hard. I dampened parts of the fabric knitted with this paper string, and here and there pummelled it hard to create areas of contrast. Repeating this process brought me great peace of mind.
