The playground is built on the site of the former Okinawa Marine Expo. The project was dsigned and coordinated by Mr Takano of TPL, who invited a range of specialists to contribute in their own area of expertise. The name of the park is 'Warabiscus', menaing 'solitary child'.

The main net area is 30 mtrs x 19 mtrs and 5.5 mtrs high.

The nets, Horiuchi says, vibrate with the movements of the children. As each child plays the vibrations that they cause pass along to the other children, becoming rythmical and reaching through to their deepest senses. Children with many different types of disability can still feel these pulses quivering through the nets, sharing the same communal experience.
